Shantou Today—Shantou is located in southeast of Guangdong, China, facing to the South China Sea. 

It is well known as "the Fort of South China and the Gateway of East Guangdong” 

and has been one of the most important international trade port and transportation center in the joining 

region of provinces of Guangdong, Fujian and Jiangxi, with the total population covering the region up to 30 million. The city is also famous for

 its foodstuff production as well as the food processing and packing machinery. 

About the Food Expo — the Expo has been held once a year since 1999, providing international trade opportunities for over 100,000 foreign and domestic exhibitors and purchasers. The events   have been highly praised for the successful organization and  management. This year’s event is also assigned as the key performance of the 2^nd Guangdong Provincial International Tour & Culture Festival. It is expected that the event would become one of the most important foodstuff and the related machinery exhibitions in the South China region.

Special Management—

■       The event covers about 26000㎡,with 600 standard booths. Special areas will be available for the followings: Chinese brand foodstuff, international brands show, special machinery, food additives, hi-tech promotion, on-site cuisine show, etc. 

■       Special activities such as Snacks & Refreshments Festival, International Culture & Tourism Presentation will be organized for buyers and exhibitors.

■     For extensive publicity, the Organizer will make full use of mass media from home and abroad, by means of news reports, specials, advertisements, mails and websites.

■     Major department store groups and purchasers such as Hualian, Wal-Mart, Macro, Carrefour, Jusco, etc., will be invited to meet the exhibitors and qualified agencies, and local manufactures will be introduced.

■     The Expo will be held together with the Guangdong International Culture & Tourism Festival. The organizer will arrange the tour of Chaoshan area for the exhibitors and the visit to the famous foodstuff enterprises in this area.

Remarks: Fees for bare floor in all zones: 90% of that of booth of the same area. Bare floor is available only at a minimum of 36M2.

 Extra RMB500 charged for the booth with double openings.

  Booth Facilities:

Zone A&B, Zone C&D,Zone G :3 exhibit boards ,1 desk, 2 chairs, 2 spot lights, 1 power connector of 300W/220V, the English—Chinese company name on the lintel. 

Special booth facilities with extra charge will be available at request.

Special electricity supply：RMB200—600（≤50kw）with extra charge of RMB1.5/ kw.h.

Zone E: 1 desk, 2 chairs, 2 lights, 1 power connector of 300W/220V, the Chinese company name on the lintel.

Zone F: electricity and water supply available: RMB80/ water supply to booth, and  RMB1.5/ k.w.h. for power supply.

Alcoholic and soft drinks and beverage, sugar made products, biscuits and cookies, chocolate, health food, 

meats products, fast frozen food, dairies, seasonings, raw materials and additives, packing materials, food processing/packing machinery.

  Event Promotion & Visitors Organization 

Comprehensive Publicity – news and information of the event will be available on  international trade publications, journals, newspapers, webs, TV ads, outdoor posters, DM, E-mail, Insert Ads, VIP mail and Telemarketing, etc.

Show News & Event Guide -- Based on the powerful database and member information from the sponsors, our special team will distribute the show newsletters to above 50,000 potential buyers.

Special visitors invited: foreign and domestic buyers, international trade agencies, franchised units, purchasers from supermarkets, chain-stores, group buyers, food industry representatives, etc.

Services Available

◆Accommodation, travel tickets booking, etc., will be arranged at request.

◆     Exhibits Transportation, inspection and Customs handling can be arranged at request of the exhibitors, who shall provide the list of the exhibits to the Expo Organizing Committee one month before the start of the event. All exhibits shall be delivered to Shantou before Oct. 30^th, 2006. The Organizing Committee will be responsible for handling inspection, customs declaration, local transportation, etc., with charges on the exhibitor. The exhibitor shall provide 1 original and 3copies of Bill of Lading and Packing List, before Oct. 30^th, 2006, to Shantou SEZ Public Goods & Property General Corp.

The Shipping Mark shall be clearly shown on the packing.

Assistance is available for introducing local ads companies and for on-sight ads arrangement, such as ads on flags, entrance tickets, and the followings:

Application procedure: 

The exhibitor shall fill in the attached form and remit all fees to the designated bank. 

The form and the remittance receipt shall be faxed or mailed to the Expo Organizing Committee before Nov. 1st, 2006. 

After receiving the form and the fees, the Expo Organizing Committee will sent to the exhibitor the receipt, booth location confirmation and Exhibitor Notice. 

The booth location shall be arranged according to the sequence of receiving the form and remittance.
